a letter from the founders

why we started nicesite.

hi. we’re aaron and matt. between us we’ve helped a lot of friends make websites — a potter, a tutor, a cousin who sells honey at the farmers market. every time, the same thing happened: the tools were built for designers, and our friends just wanted to exist on the internet.

we think everyone should have a personal website. not a profile on someone else’s app, a place that’s yours — with your name on the door, that you can send to anyone, that doesn’t change when an algorithm does.

so we built the thing we kept wishing existed: you chat, it builds, and two minutes later you have a real site. no code, no templates, no card. that’s nicesite.

why not just use a site builder?

other builders give you a blank canvas and a thousand buttons. nicesite gives you a beautiful site and a conversation.

  • a typical builder: pick one of 400 templates. nicesite: we build it from your links. no template.
  • a typical builder: drag boxes around until it looks okay. nicesite: say what you want, like you’d tell a friend.
  • a typical builder: an afternoon of setup. nicesite: about two minutes.
  • a typical builder: write your own bio, staring at a blank box. nicesite: we write the first draft. you fix the bits you’d say differently.
  • a typical builder: a card on file before you see anything. nicesite: free, forever. pay only if you want extras.

features

things you’ll love.

no settings pages. no plugins. just the handful of things a personal website should do, done well.

  • just talk to it

“make the bio warmer.” “add my market dates.” it does it, shows you, and you can undo.

  • click anything to change it

tap a headline and type. tap a photo and swap it. it saves by itself.

  • looks good on phones

most people will open your link from a text message. we design for that first.

  • your own address

you.nicesite.page is free. want yourname.com? we sell it at cost, first year on us.

  • we write the first draft

paste your instagram, linkedin, or an old website and we fill in your name, photo, and a short bio. you just fix what’s off.

  • two humans on the other end

stuck? ask for a human. that’s aaron or matt, usually within the hour. no ticket numbers.

questions

things people ask us.

something else? email hi@nicesite.build — a human answers.

do i need to know how to code?

no. you never see code. you talk, click, and type, the same way you’d text a friend who happens to be a web designer.

is it really free?

yes. the free plan is your whole one-page website on you.nicesite.page, for as long as you want it, with no card. it carries a small “made with nicesite” link. plus is only for extras, like more pages, a blog, and forms.

what if i don’t have an instagram, linkedin, or website?

no problem. links just help us fill things in faster. skip them, tell us your name, pick a template you like, and we’ll build from there.

can i use a domain i already own?

yes, on any plan, including free. confirm your email and we’ll walk you through connecting it in a couple of clicks.

what happens to my site if i stop paying?

it stays live. you go back to the free plan: your home page stays up, extra pages are kept safely (just not published), and everything comes back if you upgrade again.

who’s actually behind this?

two humans: aaron and matt. we’re building nicesite ourselves, and we read every email.

your website is about two minutes away.
